Data Officer - Clinical Services Division, North East
The Data Officer will work with a range of key stakeholders to support digital functionality and promote the importance in gaining in depth awareness and knowledge of how digital applications can deliver improved business processes and outcomes for users, including patients and clinicians.
This post would suit individuals who are confident in the use of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, have extremely strong Microsoft Excel skills, and have a detailed understanding and working knowledge of NHS Patient Clinical Record Systems, in particular SystmOne.
This role will support teams within our organisation, to ensure effective adaptation, utilisation and data on our systems including SystmOne and eConsent. You will work with the various clinical/Admin teams across the regions to identify and resolve data quality issues and support the Operations team, to create and run necessary clinical searches and reporting as required to our commissioning teams.
Main duties of the job
1. To lead on operational reporting requirements. Be responsible for the compiling, analysis and report production in line with IntraHealth's contract requirements with NHSE.
2. Data monitoring, analysis and production of key reports, carefully analyse data to produce clear accurate findings.
3. To support with all aspects of data quality.
4. Manage the data documentation from initiation to completion.
5. To produce and analyse data within and outside of S1/eConsent to include spreadsheets when required.
6. To be the organisations expert in SystmOne, the go-to person for digital applications and the trainer and mentor for all team members needing to use NHS clinical systems.
7. To effectively work with key stakeholders when dealing with queries in relation to systems and/or data quality issues and delivering appropriate solutions.
8. To identify any areas of improvement to limit poor data quality.
9. Support staff in their understanding of digital applications.
10. Support clinical teams in recording patient and clinical information in their patient care systems and assist in the implementation of consistent approaches to data including the use of templates and structured data sets.
11. Maintain and develop data quality documentation producing procedure flow diagrams, process.
12. Demonstrate an awareness of project management techniques, and an appreciation of how they are applied in the environment.
13. Demonstrate an awareness of organisational data governance, and how it works in relation to other organisational governance structures.
14. Provide analytical type administration support for the Clinical Services Division.
15. Undertake basic checking & data cleansing of computers returned from users before they are redeployed. Escalating any issues identified to be resolved by Razorblue.
SystmOne & eConsent
1. Be proficient in all aspects of the use of SystmOne and eConsent.
2. Create reports and data analyses as required from all systems including PowerBI.
3. Establish and maintain permissions for S1 and eConsent, ensuring that user access relates to job roles and responsibilities.
4. Ensure users are made aware of forthcoming developments and improvements.
5. Remain current with all S1 and eConsent modules in order to develop and promote the use of systems throughout the teams.

Qualifications
* Educated to degree level in a digital related subject or equivalent level qualification / experience.
Experience
* Proven experience in patient clinical record systems and processes particularly SystmOne.
* Experience in the management and the maintenance of data quality.
* Experience in using a range of computerized software including MS Office.
* Experience of presenting and explaining data through written and verbal communication.
* Experience of training for new starters system access.
* Ability to promote the positive image of the organisation.

* Able to provide complex or sensitive information verbally and in a range of documentary forms including reports.

* Experience of supporting national programmes and locally commissioned services, and how clinical systems contribute to improved patient outcomes.
