English Teacher – TEFL (Summer 2025)

Your Role
Work with the support of a professional academic team and award-nominated materials to deliver the EF academic program to classroom groups of up to 17 language students. You will be planning lessons that create an inspiring, safe, and supportive classroom environment where building your students’ confidence in using language is your primary concern.
After a summer of working as an EF Teacher, you will enhance your teaching knowledge and experience by working with a team of diverse teachers and academic management. You will be adaptable and capable of solving various issues without hesitation. Working in an academic environment, you will have seen how students grow in their language, make new friends, and create summer memories that last a lifetime.
Watching a classroom of different nationalities bond and their language flourish is rewarding for experienced and novice teachers alike, which is what brings so many of our teachers back year on year.
Responsibilities
1. Deliver general English classes using the EF methodology, sprinkled with your own touch.
2. Plan and teach classes while tracking attendance and attending teacher meetings.
3. Facilitate testing during the course, including scoring tests.
4. Manage the classroom effectively.
5. Participate in peer observation programmes.
6. Act as an ambassador for EF.
7. Assist with other duties as requested by the summer management team.
8. Lead an academic excursion once a week (usually a Saturday or Sunday).
Requirements
1. Available to work in July 2025.
2. TEFL or CELTA (or equivalent) qualified.
3. Excellent communication skills.
4. Sensitive to the needs of international students.
5. Demonstrates a high level of customer service.
6. Strong administrative and organisational skills.
7. All offers are subject to a clear enhanced DBS check and two references.
8. Right to work in the UK.
9. C2 level of English.
