We are currently looking for Air Technicians to join the southern team, ideally covering South/Central/Reading/Basingstoke/Oxford and the M25 area.
Our Air Technicians are required to test fire dampers, clean ventilation supply and extract systems, and maintain Air Handling Units (AHUs). There may also be occasional water hygiene work.
We predominantly work on high-security sites, so successful candidates will need security vetting, ranging from baseline enhanced DBS checks to high-level security clearance (CTC).
Key Tasks Include:
1. Carry out fire damper testing and inspections.
2. Duct access door installation.
3. Ductwork and ventilation cleaning and disinfections in line with TR19 and COSHH regulations.
4. Kitchen extract cleaning in line with TR19 and COSHH regulations.
5. Air Handling Unit maintenance.
6. AHU corrosion treatment.
7. Occasional water hygiene work.
8. Maintaining accurate site records and admin including timesheets, expenses, survey forms, and job sheets.
Experience/Skills/Qualifications:
1. Experience in the air hygiene industry.
2. Experience of ductwork/fire damper testing/installations.
3. Some experience working in water hygiene is beneficial.
4. Understanding of working with TR19.
5. Ideally, experience in one or more of the following: machinery maintenance and/or servicing, building maintenance/construction, and working around equipment in plant rooms.
6. Strong health & safety knowledge and experience with a practical approach on site.
7. Willingness to work at height or in confined spaces where required.
8. Field-based experience preferred.
9. Good communication skills, able to work to deadlines.
10. Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal.
11. Willing to work occasional unsocial hours and be flexible to travel or stay away.
12. Full driving licence.
13. Predominantly working in the South; ideally located around the Bristol or Swindon area.
