Reporting to the Design Team Leader, the Senior Design Engineer will demonstrate expertise in complex product design solutions and the design definition process. The Senior Design Engineer will work with all engineering disciplines to ensure designs meet customer and stakeholder requirements, including safety, functional specifications, quality, cost, and schedule.
Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for detailed design and definition on NPI, Legacy, and Development projects.
2. Responsible for delivering engineering milestones across projects and components.
3. Supervise, check, and validate design activities and deliverables throughout the product lifecycle.
4. Apply processes and methods for product design, ensuring process compliance, including requirements management, change management, design optimization, DFMEA, and expertise in CAD tools (NX), PLM (Teamcenter), robust design, design for Six Sigma, geometric dimensioning & tolerancing, design for manufacturing, design validation, and model-based definition.
5. Manage knowledge sharing through lessons learned and design guides.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Proven expertise in delivering complex design solutions, preferably in the aerospace industry.
* Strong technical expertise in previous roles.
* Experience in the design and definition process of complex products throughout the product lifecycle.
* Proficiency with CAD tools (preferably NX) and PLM (Teamcenter).
* Preferably experienced in heat exchangers, ozone converters, and fluid management systems.
* Experience in additive manufacturing design is advantageous.
* Excellent analytical and communication skills at all levels.
