THE ROLE
As an Associate Software Engineer, you will work in a software development team learning how to build and maintain Certinia applications using the full technology stack. You will mainly interact with your own team, which consists of 4-5 software engineers, an engineering team lead, a product manager, a user experience designer, and a content creator.
Working with supervision, you will be involved in the design of software solutions, following Kanban methodologies. You will write code to create new features, extend existing features, fix customer-reported issues, and fix internally detected issues. You will manually test your own and others' work. You will be involved in code reviews within your team, where through identifying issues and asking questions, the team will strive for high-quality code. You will also be involved in product area reviews, where the team demonstrates their completed work to stakeholders.
During your first few months, you will combine hands-on development work with training, following a learning path that helps you develop the skills needed to become a proficient engineer working on the Salesforce platform. You will learn about and follow Certinia’s software development standards.
You will actively collaborate and continuously seek to make improvements to how you and the team work and make suggestions in review meetings.
