Overview: An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual with a love of the outdoors to join the growing team based at our Wolverhampton office, on a permanent basis. Working as a Field Technician within a small, dynamic and flexible team, the successful candidate will undertake all aspects of hydrometric data collection, the management and processing of environmental data sets and the internal / external reporting of the data collected. Further responsibilities will include participation within large scale projects undertaken across the company requiring both field and desk works such as drilling supervision, water features surveying and providing input to technical reports. The position offers the chance to gain valuable experience within a fast paced consultancy environment, whilst developing practical and theoretical skills in hydrogeology / hydrology and enjoying a diverse, varied workload with potential career progression opportunities. About You: The successful candidate will preferably hold an undergraduate degree in geology, environmental science or a related discipline, and will be proficient in word processing and spreadsheet packages. Experience in GIS, field data collection, the use of data logging equipment / software and working within a strict health and safety environment is preferred though not essential. The role will suit a technically minded, innovative and practical individual with good time management skills and a talent for problem solving, who is happy working outdoors as well as within an office environment. The position will require the successful candidate to undertake regular business driving throughout the UK and ROI. A full current driving license is an absolute requirement for the role.
