You’ll be someone who is both comfortable working proactively and managing your own tasks, as well as confident collaborating with others and communicating regularly with senior managers, directors, and BDO’s partners to help businesses effectively. You’ll be encouraged to identify and draw attention to opportunities for enhancing our delivery and providing additional services to organisations we work with.
Responsibilities:
* Support the Finance Director in managing the financial performance of the National Audit stream.
* Regularly liaise with the central Finance function, overseeing the month-end and year-end processes reporting back to the Finance Director on performance and risks.
* Assist the Finance Director with the national annual budget and quarterly forecast analysis, liaising with the local finance managers and central Finance team as appropriate.
* Produce the monthly National KPI pack and share with the National Finance Partner.
* Ensure bills, recoveries, and cash collections are managed effectively and efficiently; challenging performance in these areas where required and agreeing appropriate action to take when issues arise.
* Promote and monitor KPIs for Audit across the stream.
* Support the Finance Director in promoting and driving national audit stream initiatives and embedding them within the business.
* Lead the analysis of profitability to provide critical evaluation and drive consistency.
* Conduct national Audit trend analysis with timely identification of causes of risks/problems with prompt suggestion for relevant actions, particularly including revenue, recoverability, staff utilisation, work in progress, and debt.
* Work closely with the National Finance teams to improve and streamline reporting and management information and drive consistency within the sectors.
You’ll be someone with:
* ACA, CIMA or ACCA qualified.
* A commercial mind.
* Analytical skills.
* The ability to handle/process confidential information in a sensitive manner.
* Project Management, team leadership and delegation skills with a collaborative, participative approach and the ability to engage, inspire and influence people at all levels in the organisation.
* Strong leadership and influencing skills to enable proactive relationships with business leaders.
* Capable of contributing to the strategic agenda with strong operational skills.
* Partnership experience desirable.
