Job summary Due to increasing patient registrations, we now have a vacancy for someone to join the team on a 25-30 hour contract. The applicant must be able to work flexibly over 5 days. Main duties of the job The Patient Care Navigator/ administrator will be required to undertake various clerical duties associated with patient care and the efficient running of the GP practice, acting as a focal point for signposting and communication between patients, doctors, nurses, other members of the primary health care team and external services. Some of the duties of the role include booking appointments, answering and making telephone calls, dealing with queries from patients, clinicians and other health professionals, prescription requests, photocopying, filing, scanning medical reports, processing new patient registration forms & undertaking general administration tasks. The Practice is paper-light so the individual will be required to have good IT skills and good telephony skills.
