The Role:
Launceston General Hospital invites applicants to apply for currently available multiple positions of Surgical registrars.
The Team:
* Broad exposure to General Surgery including operating, emergencies, and clinic.
* Rotation through three specialty teams - Breast/Endocrine, Colorectal, and Upper GI/Hepatobiliary.
* Close contact with consultant staff.
* Limited evenings and weekend on call.
* The role is well supported clinically with additional teaching and research opportunities.

Details of Appointment:
Fixed term full time, day worker, with on call working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing 10 March 2025 until 1 February 2026.
You will receive 10 hours of paid, protected training time per fortnight, pro rata.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary:
Medical Practitioner Level 5 - 11 $134,930 - $189,005 per annum, pro rata + 11.5% superannuation + access to salary packaging.
* Salary range is in accordance with Medical Practitioners Agreement 2022.
In addition, the following allowances and benefits, calculated on the salaried incremental point, may be available:
* Salary packaging options include a range of benefits like living expenses up to $9,010 and $2,650 in meals and entertainment every year.
* Fitness Passport – You and your family can access 40+ fitness facilities across Tasmania for just $13.95 per week per person, or $25.95 for a family.
* Other allowances as applicable.

* General or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
