Lathom High School is a co-educational school based in Lancashire for students aged 11-16. It is a non-denominational school.
A range of trust partners support the school, including Edge Hill University, NSG Pilkingtons, and the Diocese of Liverpool.
Headteacher: Paul Livesley
Values and vision: Lathom High School wishes to be an inspiring place to learn. It has extremely high standards for all its students and expects them to make outstanding progress during their time at the school. Students are monitored and supported in their academic and social progress, reporting home on a regular basis. There are also well-established systems at the school for rewarding students who do well. The school’s broad and balanced curriculum is designed not only to fulfil the requirements of the national curriculum but also to allow students to pursue their own personal interests and develop their individual talents.
Ofsted: “The new headteacher has an accurate view of how well the school is doing, and knows what needs to be done to bring about improvements. Pupils feel safe in school and say that they are well looked after and supported by their teachers. Leaders have successfully managed the sudden increase in the number of pupils on roll caused by the closure of a local school. Those pupils have been enabled to settle into the school well, and their progress is beginning to accelerate.”
