The service is run and supported by the University Medical Centre. It is available to all students and staff at the University of Kent. The service is open 31 weeks a year, during the University term time. You will be part of the UNS team of registered nurses providing care to the staff and students at the University; the service offers support and well-being advice, treatment of minor illnesses, minor injuries, and contraceptive advice. Main duties of the job The successful candidate will be caring, a good communicator, an independent nurse working with good clinical skills. You will be responsible for the overnight care of students in a 2 bed unit, covering a variety of minor illness or minor injury presentations. You may be required to provide pastoral care and offer support to students as they settle into University life.
