Estimator Refurbishment, Extensions, Cut & Carve, New-build
Location: Lincoln, Lincolnshire
Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 + Car or Allowance + Company Share Scheme + 31 days holiday

Key Duties:
1. Leading and managing bids (as required).
2. Ensuring compliance with RMS Bid Management processes.
3. Managing Estimators, Assistant Estimators and Trainee Estimators as required.
4. Coach, mentor and assist with training junior staff to support development.
5. Deliver core services on project bids.
6. Input to monthly reporting.
7. Meeting all deadlines for bid return dates and as may be otherwise set by management.
8. Other duties as may be required by senior management.
Projects:
1. Attending and inputting to bid launch meetings.
2. Reviewing bid documents and developing a bid strategy to give a competitive edge.
3. Producing market competitive, nett cost estimates for bids in line with the RMS.
4. Carrying out accurate quantity take-offs for the purposes of estimating - where required.
5. Checking externally produced bills of quantities for accuracy.
6. Pricing groundworks, drainage, sub-structure, masonry, joinery work and partitions from first principles.
7. Preparing and issuing sub-contract and material enquiries.
8. Liaising with the procurement department to obtain material quotations.
9. Inputting into gateway documents and gateway review meetings.
10. Establishing value engineering opportunities.
11. Establishing risks and inputting to project risk register.
12. Preparing and checking tender letters, technical notes, and qualifications for issue.
13. Capturing data and preparing benchmarking reports to support bids.
14. Ensuring all key estimating data is effectively transferred to the delivery team at handover stage.
