Job Title: Social Worker – Looked After Children Team
Location: Gateshead
Rate: £157.41 per day
An experienced Social Worker is required to join the Looked After Children Team in Gateshead.
Your Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for working with young people who are looked after and care experienced. You will provide an assessment of needs for young people who are preparing to leave care and develop a pathway plan to meet these needs. Additionally, you will provide advice and guidance to young people who are eligible, relevant, and former relevant under the Children Leaving Act 2000. You will work closely with partners as corporate parents to support children in developing their life skills and working towards their aspirations.

Qualifications and Experiences:
To be eligible for this role, you must hold a Social Work England registration and be eligible to work in the UK. Additionally, you need to hold a full UK driving licence and possess at least 2 years of post-qualified experience as a social worker within children’s services. A degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work is also required.
