Main purpose of the role:
Ensure the Grocery Department operates efficiently and effectively at all times. Provide our customers with excellent quality products and customer service.
The ideal candidate will have/be:
* Minimum 1 years’ experience in a management position
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
* Highly driven with a strong work ethic
* An understanding of how to achieve KPIs and targets
* Commerciality and brand awareness
* Passion for grocery retail
* Thrive in a fast-paced working environment
Main duties:

* Communicate the required operating standards to all employees and ensure they understand and implement such standards at all times
* Drive sales through instore initiatives
* Merchandise and present the department to the highest standard at all times and in accordance with relevant store planograms and guidelines
* Adhere to weekly stocktaking and daily waste procedures in the Grocery Department
* Liaise with the management team so as to ensure that weekly gross profit, net profit and sales targets are achieved
* Conduct quality and freshness checks
* Attend relevant training as required and implement learnings in store
