The Facilities Engineer is a key role for the business. Key responsibilities will be to oversee and assess planned and reactive maintenance for a manafacturing facility based in North Wales.

A global medical products and technologies company that specialises in the development, manufacturing, and marketing of a wide range of healthcare products and solutions.
They are looking for a Facilities Engineer on a temporary basis for a minimum of 6 months.
Description
Oversee and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, and other facility-related systems.
Identify and resolve facility-related issues, including system malfunctions, breakdowns, and safety concerns, minimising downtime.
Manage facility improvement projects, including system upgrades, building renovations, and equipment installations. Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Ensure all facility operations comply with company policies, safety regulations, and local codes. Conduct safety inspections, risk assessments, and ensure emergency response systems are in place.
Monitor energy consumption and identify opportunities to optimise energy efficiency. Implement energy-saving initiatives to reduce facility operating costs.
Work with external contractors and service providers for specialised maintenance, repairs, or projects. Ensure all work meets company standards and timelines.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules, repairs, equipment inspections, and service contracts. Prepare regular reports on facility performance and any maintenance issues or required improvements.
Work closely with production and engineering teams to support operational needs and ensure smooth facility operations. Provide technical support as needed for manufacturing equipment and systems.
Maintain an inventory of essential spare parts, tools, and equipment required for facility maintenance and repairs.
Profile
Technical qualifications ie. C&G, ONC/HNC or mechanical or electrical engineering
Experience in maintenance and installation of a broad range of services and facilities within a manufacturing / engineering environment
Experience of working with, supervising and taking responsibility for external contractors and other service providers. Ability to support the effective operation of a Permit to Work system and other procedures and controls in support of this.
Demonstrated ability to analyse technical problems and develop appropriate solutions
Experience in developing successful new systems, practices, procedures within a Production/Maintenance Engineering technical operations
Strong communication skills in verbal and written formats
Evidence of understanding and capability across mechanical, electrical and control functions, also basic building maintenance
Understanding of principles/systems to support effective maintenance of a broad range of facilities and utilities.Job Offer
