The Opportunity?
Chris Lewis is the leading independent fire, security and building technology company in the region. We work for prestigious clients like the University of Oxford, Royal Palaces and County Councils.
We're looking for a Head of Sales for our group to lead our bright and ambitious sales and design team. The role is to replace the current MD from day to day management of the team. The team respond very well to a coaching management style and love continuous improvement and training.
The ideal candidate will be a self-learner and would appreciate the mentorship of the senior leadership. You will have a proven track record of high performance as a salesperson and demonstrate successful management of a sales team in the tech or service industry. There is no need for industry experience and product knowledge but a technical and/or engineering background would be preferable.

What are we expecting from you?
1. Collaborate with board to develop sales strategy to achieve company goals
2. Recruit, train and mentor a dynamic sales team, fostering a culture of performance and innovation.
3. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships and direct customer business, to broaden our customer base
4. The focus should be on new contract acquisition and ARR to grow our contract customer base by 50% over the next 24 months
5. Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies and competitive landscape to inform sales tactics and product offerings
6. Champion the use of our technology stack including Hubspot, Vidyard, Pandadocs, Uptick and Fieldwire
7. Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty
8. Provide training and mentorship to sales team
9. Monitor sales metrics, prepare regular reports and present insights to senior management for strategic decision-making
10. Building company pipeline and increase conversion rate across the sales team
11. Ensuring timely action on new leads and quotations.
12. Work closely with our marketing team to ensure sales and marketing strategies are aligned and feeding back on quality of leads
Qualifications:
1. Experience: Minimum of 7 years in sales, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within the tech industry, preferably in security or smart home solutions.
2. Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of security systems, smart home technologies, and IoT devices.
3. Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate a sales team to achieve and exceed targets. Demonstrate that you have lead training courses with your staff in a previous role
4. Strategic Thinking: Demonstrated success in developing and executing sales strategies that drive business growth.
5. Communication: Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
6. Analytical Skills: Proficient in CRM software and sales analytics tools, with the ability to interpret data to inform strategies.
7. Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, innovative environment with a willingness to embrace new challenges.
8. Training: Have a coaching management style to focus on continuous improvement with the team
