Hays Accountancy & Finance are seeking an Accountant to help support our client's finance team, in a well known and respected charity within their area.
Your new role
1. Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers.
2. Manage month-end close and year-end external audit processes.
3. Oversee grant funding agreements and financial reporting.
4. Ensure implementation of financial policies and internal controls.
5. Assist in annual budget preparation and fixed asset audits.
6. Produce monthly management accounts and reports.
7. Assist with Board reports and year-end external audits.
8. Conduct KPI and ad-hoc analyses.
9. Process payroll, salary journals, and statutory reports.
10. Manage pension administration.
What you'll need to succeed - the ideal candidate will have;
1. Fully qualified accountant (e.g., ICA, CIMA, ACCA) with 3 years of relevant experience, OR 5 years of relevant experience.
2. Proficiency in accounting packages and Microsoft Office suite.
3. Knowledge and experience in grant administration and reporting.
4. Experience using Sage Line 50 accounts.
5. Experience with fundraising databases and in the charity sector.
6. Supervisory experience.
