Service Care Legal are recruiting on behalf of a well-established London Borough Council who are seeking a Contracts Lawyer to join them on a contract basis. Hybrid working arrangement with at least one day per week in the office. Key Responsibilities: Manage a diverse caseload of contracts, including procurement for repairs, major works, and various other agreements. Provide expert advice on public procurement regulations, construction law, JCT building contracts, contracts for goods and services, frameworks, and local authority governance. Attend departmental contract review boards and offer legal counsel. Requirements: Qualified Solicitor (England and Wales), Barrister (England and Wales), or Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives, with a minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience. At least 2 years of hands-on experience in public procurement and contracts. Strong understanding of construction law and public procurement regulations.
