Join the 'Outstanding' team at The Chimney's Clinic, rated by the CQC. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will join a passionate team committed to delivering high-quality care. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic, person-centered care based on the recovery model. The role offers support from a Medical Secretary and Specialist Doctor, opportunities for career development, CPD access, and a large peer group of high-caliber consultants.
* Taking clinical responsibility for patients, including ward rounds, risk reviews, and therapeutic milieu development.
* Fulfilling the Responsible Clinician role for patients detained under the Mental Health Act (1983).
* Providing psychiatric assessments and treatment plans.
* Participating in management and clinical governance meetings, contributing to service strategy.
* Offering supervision and training within the team.
* Maintaining CPD and re-validation requirements.
* Participating in an on-call rota.
To be successful, you will:
* Hold a medical qualification, MRC Psych or equivalent.
* Be innovative and capable of initiating decisions.
* Understand current developments in psychiatry and mental health.
* Have knowledge of change management, relevant legislation, and contractual issues.
* Have previous consultant experience in a management role.
