About the role
This is a newly established fixed term role for one year, for which we are seeking a HR professional with a particular interest in recruitment.
Bury Council Children & Young People Department is in the process of undergoing a major improvement project, seeking to improve services for our children's and young people across both Social Care and SEND. The Council has committed significant additional resources to ensure we have a structure with the necessary capacity and the right roles to deliver the necessary changes. However, for our work to be a success, we need to ensure we can attract, recruit and retain quality candidates in key roles, some of which are acknowledged to be "hard to fill" across the country.
This role of HR Advisor will work within our HR&OD service area, attached to a small HR Business Partnering Team supporting Children & Young People.
We are seeking candidates who are CIPD L5 (or equivalent) qualified and who are looking to bring a dynamic, creative and innovative approach to recruitment. Working closely with Heads of Service and our Communications Team, you will seek new ways to make our recruitment activities stand out and appeal to candidates, presenting an attractive view of the Council across a range of media. You will work practically to organise and facilitate recruitment events, develop the candidate experience, and liaise closely with our HR Operations Team to ensure onboarding of candidates is timely and created a positive impression on new employees.
The role is based in Bury Town Centre, but with significant scope for flexible and agile working to suit your needs and the needs to the service.
Normal hours of work are 37 hours per week based around the usual business working week
