Our Risk Settlement team continues to grow and we are now looking for an experienced Post-Transaction Lead to join our vibrant Reading office with hybrid working. This is an exciting role and would most likely suit someone with previous experience in a similar role where they have gained knowledge and experience of Defined Benefit (DB) pension schemes.

The Team
The XPS Risk Settlement team is one of the fastest growing business areas, working alongside trustees and insurers to help navigate schemes through buy-in, buyout and wind-up.
Due to this growth, we are looking for ambitious, experienced individuals to work within our post-transaction team, overseeing the activities required for schemes once a buy-in transaction has completed, through to buyout and eventually wind-up.
This is a fantastic role for an individual experienced in de-risking activities, with a strong DB background, looking to expand into project and client management.
The Role
As a Post-Transaction Lead with XPS you will:
* Support Risk Settlement Broking team as needed during the buy-in and buyout process.
* Project manage and lead buy-in to buyout/wind-up projects efficiently and within budget.
* Liaise with and manage a range of internal and external stakeholders including Trustees and Sponsors along with their wider advisory teams.
* Build, develop and maintain relationships with insurers, independent trustees and legal firms.
* Contribute to new business initiatives, possibly as part of new business tenders and presentations.
* Prepare and deliver papers/advice to clients.
Your profile
* Significant DB pensions experience with a strong technical background.
* Some buy-in, buyout and wind-up experience and a good understanding of the key workstreams and their interactions.
* Highly organised with the ability to prioritise effectively.
* Strong written, verbal and presentation skills to all levels.
* Ability to influence, multi-task and respond to changing priorities.
* Able to take ownership and responsibility for own work.
* Flexible approach to work pressures.
* Good problem-solving skills.
* A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Strong belief in adhering to deadlines and quality service.
* Effective interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and build long-term working relationships at all levels, both internal and external of the organisation.
* Experience in project-based work is desirable.
