Mechanical Project Manager required in Peterborough
A leading M&E Contractor is currently looking for a Mechanical Project Engineer / Mechanical Project Manager to join their expanding team in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire. The company trades across the UK, providing M&E services to a wide range of clients and businesses, such as Retail, Offices, Research & Development, hospitals, and schools. These projects are typically valued up to £10M.
As the Mechanical Project Engineer / Mechanical Project Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the project is completed according to schedule and budget, undertaking effective planning to make sure the projects completed are profitable.
You will also be required to manage materials, subcontractors, installation, procurement, and drawing programmes to accord with installation and specification requirements. Throughout the installation, it is essential you manage labour and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with specification and contract documentation.
Successful applicants will have the following qualifications and experience:
1. Experience of managing project values up to £10M (M&E)
2. Effective planning and project management skills
3. Experience of working on large new build projects
4. Working for a Building Services Contractor at a similar level
5. Overall knowledge and understanding of a wide variety of electrical systems and their installation methods
6. Time Served Apprentice or relevant Mechanical qualifications
7. Consistently good financial returns on projects, taking into account all relevant factors
8. Good people management and motivational skills
9. The ability to work under pressure to meet set deadlines
10. The ability to plan ahead, coordinate and prioritize workloads
11. Strong results orientation
