Role Description
This is a full-time Estimating Proposals Manager role located on-site in Middlesbrough, although flexible working options can be discussed.
Reporting to the Head of Commerical (Strategic Director) the Estimating Proposals Manager will be responsible for preparing and managing estimates and proposals for scaffolding, access, blasting, painting, and industrial cleaning projects. The role involves coordinating with principal contractors and asset owners to provide accurate and competitive estimates to support project bids.
Responsibilities:
· Overseeing the Estimating Department.
· Review and analyse tender documents to prepare detailed estimates
· Conduct site visit(s) to understand logistics, conditions
· Liaise with Design department where necessary
· Prepare & Manage Tenders & Proposal documents for pricing purposes
· Identify correct supply chain, and/or use Preferred Supply Chain Contacts for tendering/pricing
· Evaluate tender returns and associated documents, liaising with Commercial and Operations.
· Present Tender pricing to Business Management for review/approval
· Manage & submit comprehensive bid proposals & reports in accordance with business strategy
· Liaise with operations to formulate programmes if required
· Liaise with strategic management to identify innovation
· Manage handover to operations of successful project bids.
Qualifications
· Experience in managing in estimating for industrial services or similar field for a min of 3 years
· Knowledge of one or more of scaffolding, blasting, painting, and industrial cleaning processes.
· Strong analytical and attention to detail skills
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment or alone.
· Strong MS Office and in particular Excel skills
· Relevant certifications or training in estimating and proposals
