We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Administrative Assistant to support the Transition Assistance Program (TAP). The selected candidate will assist with program coordination, customer service, and administrative functions in support of military personnel and their families preparing to transition to civilian life.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide day-to-day administrative support to the TAP program.
2. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of program participants.
3. Schedule appointments, workshops, and briefings in coordination with TAP staff.
4. Prepare reports, memos, and correspondence as needed.
5. Respond to general inquiries from service members and families regarding transition resources.
6. Manage files and databases to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
7. Assist in setting up events and maintaining attendance logs.
8. Coordinate with base personnel and external partners for program support.
Requirements:
1. High school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate degree or higher is preferred.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in an administrative or customer service role.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
4. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
5. Ability to work with sensitivity and discretion when handling personal information.
6. Must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a dynamic environment.
7. Knowledge of military life and transition programs is an advantage.
8. Must be based in the UK or have valid authorization to work in the UK.
