We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Food Safety Practitioner at Level 6 to join our dynamic team. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the standards of food safety and hygiene within our organization. As a Food Safety Practitioner, you will play a pivotal role in the development and enforcement of food safety plans, conducting audits, and working collaboratively with various stakeholders to promote a culture of safety in food production. Your expertise will contribute to the identification and mitigation of potential food safety risks at all stages of the food supply chain. You will also be tasked with training staff on food safety protocols and maintaining compliance with national and international regulations. Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain food safety management systems in compliance with regulatory standards.
Conduct regular food safety audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent application of food safety policies.
Provide training and support to staff on food safety practices and procedures.
Monitor food safety trends and best practices, incorporating them into company policies as needed.
Investigate food safety incidents and develop corrective action plans to prevent recurrence.
Prepare and present reports on food safety compliance and performance to management.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Environmental Health, or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in a food safety or quality assurance role.
In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and standards such as HACCP, ISO, and FDA guidelines.
Strong analytical skills to assess risks and implement effective prevention measures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
Experience in conducting training sessions and workshops related to food safety.
Proficiency in using food safety management software and tools.
Hours Per Week: 36.00

End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £26.34
