The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for Engineering associated with the manufacturing process. You will develop an operational plan for your manufacturing activities within the team. You will make improvements in products, implement design changes, and enhance processes and procedures whilst applying a lean methodology.
As an Electronics Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for:
* Defining and controlling production processes including tooling and equipment.
* Validating design specifications and shop floor application of new products, tools, or equipment.
* Exchanging data and information regarding interaction concerns and improvements in products, processes, and procedures.
* Handling standardized manufacturing processes with guidelines for choosing the right actions with some latitude in ways of working and planning.
* Leading a small manufacturing unit with a budget greater than $0.5 million.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
* Have demonstrable experience in a Manufacturing or Production Engineering role, including providing Shop Floor support.
* Be able to analyze problems, identify root causes, and provide efficient solutions, fault-finding down to component level as required.
* Have experience of DOE testing to determine the factors affecting inputs and outputs.
* Possess some Lean Manufacturing experience, ideally using Six Sigma or Shainin.
