Job summary We are looking for students who are due to qualify in Summer 2025 to join our friendly Radiology teams at East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust. We would be looking for you to start following successful pre-employment checks after your successful exam board and qualification in Summer 2025. We have posts available based at Ipswich Hospital and based at Colchester Hospital (for Colchester this will also encompass our Clacton Community Diagnostic Centre). You will be asked your preference at interview. We are busy radiography departments carrying out a wide range of examinations including ED, Outpatients, In-Patients, Dental, Fluoroscopy (including barium examinations), theatre and ITU / ward portables. You will join departments that support their staff to pursue academic courses and develop their careers within a supportive and friendly environment. We are a teaching department and part of this role will be supporting the learning of our students and apprentices. It is a requirement to undertake a 7 day rostered week, including lates, nights, weekend and bank holidays. Main duties of the job Justify and perform radiographic examinations, provide direct care and a high quality diagnostic imaging service in order to assist in the management of patients referred from clinicians. Adhere to Ionising Radiation Regulations and IR(ME)R to ensure the correct procedure is justified and performed. Undertake continuing professional development (CPD). Work as part of a team to ensure effective communication and delivery of care. Prioritise workload depending on the severity of a patient's condition and the direct impact on their management. Liaise with fellow healthcare workers and referring clinicians to provide a high quality imaging service to patients. Maintain accurate patient records by input of accurate information to reflect the service provided and meet professional standards.
