It’s worth mentioning that since our launch in June 2019, the company has experienced extremely significant growth in revenue. Last year, in 2023, THIS™ topped The Grocer and Alantra’s annual Fast 50 list, a ranking of the country’s fastest-growing food and drink companies on two-year sales growth. We have strong aspirations to continue this growth trajectory as we aim to be the number 1 plant-based brand in the UK and beyond and we believe we have the team and investment to achieve this.

Why are we doing THIS™?
Andy and Pete are our co-founders and their last job entailed selling tonnes (literally tonnes) of meat. Then they felt bad. Also, they felt like meat-alternatives weren't really for people who love the taste of meat. So they’ve basically ended up making THIS™ for themselves, but they’d love other meat-lovers to give it a go too. THIS™ is a game-changer.

What’s with this role?
The Commercial Director is vital to our ambition to transform the plant based category, engage our consumers and wow our retailers. With a new Mission, Vision and Values, secure investment and a strong eNPS score, we are embarking on an ambitious business plan to significantly grow our business, create a great place to work and become net zero by 2030.
You will be reporting to the CEO, a member of our leadership team, and you’ll head up a 7-strong Commercial team.
What will you be getting up to?
* Become part of our passionate leadership team working together to achieve our strategy
* Set the Commercial team strategy and operating plan to hit our KPIs and numbers across Grocery, Out of Home and International
* Lead, nurture and motivate the Commercial team to perform at their best
* Build great relationships with our customers and support your team to do the same
* Work with the Marketing team and Category Manager to ensure we fully understand our consumer and category and can deliver compelling category stories
* Deliver strong JBPs and customer plans to reach our goals
* Work closely with our Operations team to manage forecasts and customer expectations
* Collaborate with our Innovation and Marketing teams to focus our efforts on products that fulfil consumer needs and become a must have for our retailers
What are we looking for?
* An exceptional team leader able to motivate, inspire, nurture and develop others
* Proven ability as a business leader, not just a function leader
* Commercial Controller or Director level FMCG experience working with UK Grocery and Out of Home accounts preferably in food
* Experience of growing the P&L
* A passion our mission and vision and our ability to be a Force for Good
* Strong understanding of commercials with proven experience of managing full P&Ls and the ability to analyse data
* A great story teller and presenter who can engage others
* Proactive, resilient and tenacious with the ability to make progress in tough situations and negotiations
