Business Development Advisor
Location: Cannock, Staffordshire

The base is Cannock and there is some travel around Staffordshire, all expenses paid.
What we need from you as a Business Development Advisor/Employer Engagement Officer:
1. Experience working in a sales or business development environment.
2. Understanding of training, apprenticeships, or education programmes is ideal.
3. Focused, results-driven, creative, and has ideas about how to succeed.
4. Good communication skills – face to face and over the phone.
5. Experience in holding meetings face to face or over Teams.
6. Ability to think on your feet and problem solve.
7. PC literate.
8. A UK Driving Licence and access to your own vehicle for work.
What this role involves:
You will be involved in a range of business-to-business activities; cold calls, social media, networking, generating leads to secure business for new business.
Other duties include:
1. Working with a range of partners to develop links and referral points to generate an extensive network chain leading to multiple pipeline creation.
2. Assisting the organisation in acquiring new customers and selling additional products or services to existing ones.
3. Delivering outstanding customer service to all customers and achieving outstanding results for all targets.
4. Researching new markets and organisations to identify the decision maker and make contact.
5. Creating an effective pipeline of activity. Identifying organisations that provide scalability in the market and new development areas. Pitching to customers as required. Persisting in sales even in the face of failure. Finding ways to sell products in the face of a down market.
6. Developing quality presentations, quotes, and negotiating with customers.
7. Following quality assurance processes.
8. Updating the CRM with all contacts.
9. Generating quality leads for all targets and pipeline activity.
10. Identifying new customers and repeat business from existing accounts.
11. Innovating regarding marketing and customer identification. Ensuring attention to detail. Demonstrating superior time management skills and meeting sales deadlines.
Salary/hours:
£26,000 – £28,000 plus £4K bonus per annum.
Working Monday to Thursday 8.45am – 5pm and Friday 8.45am – 4pm. 45 minutes lunch break each day.
