Job Description
Data Modeller
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Modeller to design and maintain enterprise-wide conceptual, logical data, and physical models for our organisation. This role is critical to enabling consistent, scalable, and business-aligned data structures that support analytics, reporting, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge and understanding of insurance data domains, enterprise data modelling best practices, and experience working with diverse stakeholders across the business and IT.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and maintain the enterprise-wide conceptual data model to provide a high-level view of data domains, entities, and their relationships, and logical data models with detailed attributes, data relationships, and normalization rules, ensuring alignment with business rules and objectives.
2. Work closely with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into structured data models that meet organisational needs.
3. Ensure conceptual and logical data models are reusable, scalable, and adaptable to evolving business demands.
4. Partner with business stakeholders, SMEs, and data architects to validate data models and incorporate feedback.
Qualifications
Skills & Experience:
1. 10+ years of experience in data modelling, with a strong focus on conceptual and logical data models and proven expertise in designing and implementing physical data models.
2. Experience in the insurance industry.
3. Hands-on experience with data modelling tools like Erwin.
4. Expertise in data modelling methodologies (e.g., 3NF, Dimensional, Data Vault).
5. Proficiency in SQL and scripting.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail.
7. Preferred to have knowledge of insurance data standards such as ACORD.
8. Preferred to have experience with cloud-based data platforms like Snowflake, Azure.
