This highly rewarding role working across the early years and early years complex needs team offers opportunities to work closely with children, families and other professionals to support their understanding of children’s speech, language and communication needs, and facilitate the development of functional skills.
This part-time, permanent position is based in Milton Keynes, and offers the chance to be part of a small, supportive team whilst working in a range of environments including community clinics, child development centre, preschool and nursery settings and children's centres.
· In this role you will deliver culturally responsive, functional assessment of communication needs and work collaboratively with children, families and other professionals to discuss assessment findings, and develop and support the achievement of functional communication goals relevant to the educational and social contexts. You will work closely with Speech and Language Associate Practitioners to support families, regularly attend and contribute to relevant Speech and Language Therapy Team meetings and participate in departmental research and team projects.
