Job Description
Overview: An opportunity with a leading consultancy as a Graduate Geo-Environmental Engineer to join their Site & Ground Investigation team. This role offers a fantastic chance for a graduate to develop their career in geo-environmental engineering, working on critical railway and civil engineering projects.
Responsibilities:
* Perform physical sampling and testing of geotechnical sub-strata and materials such as steel, concrete, and stone for structural investigations in environments like rail, highways, and open land.
* Accurately collate site notes to support the creation of technical reports and interpretive documents.
* Assist in producing factual ground and structural investigation reports as required by the project manager.
* Provide technical input to projects and participate in team, safety, and technical briefings.
* Undertake safety-critical duties in line with Personal Track Safety (PTS) certification and your Safety Responsibility Statement.
* Be available for site visits, including working nights and weekends, with potential lodging when necessary.
* Gain experience and take on more responsibilities, including project management duties under the guidance of the Principal Project Manager.
Requirements:
* Degree in Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology, Geology, or Physical Geography.
