What you will be doing:
As an Electronics Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of customers within the electronics sector. You will work closely with a portfolio of approximately 150 customers ensuring strong engagement, identifying growth opportunities and driving revenue. This role requires a balance of proactive sales strategies and effective account management to maintain customer satisfaction and achieve business objectives. Additionally, you will collaborate with internal teams, pricing analysts, category/supplier managers and business development managers to optimise sales performance and enhance market positioning.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.
* Achieve and exceed sales targets, contributing to overall growth and profitability.
* Identify opportunities to increase customer engagement and expand product sales within sector.
* Conduct customer visits as needed to strengthen relationships, understand business needs and drive growth.
* Prepare and manage customer quotes, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business objectives.
* Maximise margin opportunities whilst demonstrating value for money using the ternary approach.
* Negotiate and implement pricing agreements, ensuring commercial viability and long-term profitability while ensuring customer retention.
* Provide tailored solutions and recommendations to customers, leveraging product knowledge and industry insights.
* Monitor industry trends, customer demands and competitor activity to identify strategic opportunities.
* Work closely with Category Managers/Supplier Managers to ensure competitive pricing and product availability.
* Support customers with product selection, stock availability and technical enquiries utilising our specialist internal stakeholders.
* Collaborate with internal teams to resolve customer issues, including logistics, pricing, and stock challenges.
* Maintain and update customer data in Salesforce to track sales performance and pipeline opportunities.
* Ensure all sales activities align with company & commercial policies & objectives.
What do I need to be successful?

* Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify and maximise sales opportunities while considering commercial decisions.
* Excellent negotiation and communication skills both written and verbal.
* High level of attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in quotations, pricing and reporting.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced target driven environment.
* Highly motivated to drive engagement and have a curious and inquisitive approach to finding and closing opportunities.
* Self-motivated, flexible and organised.
* Forms positive relationships, strives for high performance and is focused on their own personal development.
* Awareness and understanding of the implications of contract terms and conditions.
* Adaptable and open to change for new processes.
* Ability to identify opportunities to build a robust pipeline.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word with experience in handling reports and sales data.
* Familiarity with pricing tools and data driven decision-making.
