Who are we looking for? We now have the opportunity for an exceptional Business Development Manager to be part of the commercial team in the EMEA Region, based in Aberdeen.
The BDM will take on the challenge to work with a diverse range of customers in the Offshore Production and Drilling markets, building relationships, supporting our Distributor network and delivering business growth.
Commit to playing a lead role in diversifying and expanding our business both with new Products, and in emerging markets including Offshore Energy and Carbon Capture.
Collaborate within the regional team and wider global MacDermid Offshore Solutions business, providing market intelligence, and make a key contribution to business planning and strategy.
Undertake regular travel in the EMEA region to support of our customers, and business development aims.
The successful applicant will have, or be expected to rapidly develop, a knowledge of product applications, and an awareness and understanding of chemistry, engineering and environmental considerations involved in our business.
You must be self-motivated, able to set targets and develop strategies to meet all our business goals. Know when to reach out to management and ask for help, but also be very proactive without needing to be led.
Capable of communicating effectively at all levels internally and externally with our customers.
What will you be doing? In this role you will be:
Managing a broad cross section of key customer Accounts, across different geographical markets including Operators, Drilling Contractors and OEMs, many of which we deem to be of strategic importance to our business.
Ensuring MacDermid Offshore Solutions effectively markets our Products to the key decision makers in the industry, gaining market share and delivering new business.
Expanding the breadth and depth of our network and gathering market intelligence to share with the Global Team, and to ensure MOS is positioned for project awards.
Committed to using our CRM system to Create and back fill the Pipeline of new opportunities, succeed in Winning new business, and growing both new and existing Accounts by delivering a high level of Customer Service.
Working as part of a small Team to support Account Manager, and Sales Director as well as liaising regularly with our Internal Sales, and Technical Teams based at our manufacturing facility.
Undertaking regular travel to support the business aims.
Who are You? We are looking for individuals who have worked for 5-10 years in the Offshore Industry, are degree educated (Engineering or similar discipline) and preferably with experience of both Technical and Commercial / Sales roles. Inquisitive, self-motivated and a quick leaner, able to manage your time effectively and prioritise your workload.
What competencies will you need? Business Acumen:
Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the offshore business. Skilled in communicating with experienced and knowledgeable customers on application-related topics.
Customer Relations:
Maintain strong relationships with key customers. Have the ability to develop effective and meaningful customer relationships at all levels Strategic, Financial, Operational and Technical.
Communication Skills:
Maintain a responsible and professional attitude when communicating with both internal and external customers. Present confidently to both peers and customers.
Results Orientation:
Exhibit excellent organizational skills, able to prioritize and manage multiple complex tasks simultaneously. Be comfortable working on long-cycle projects with a multi-year vision.
Collaboration:
Understand the objectives and priorities of MacDermid Offshore Solutions (MOS) and effectively collaborate to achieve success. Maintain good relationships with both internal and external customers.
