The Service Provision team helps build BT’s biggest and fastest network. Within Service Provision, you will be responsible for the delivery of crucial elements of projects such as the replacement of the UK’s Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) with a fully digital network. On a daily basis, you will liaise with field engineers as well as other key stakeholders within the business.
We are piloting innovative automation and AI initiatives that will change the way we work as a team and unit. You will be a problem solver and part of a team that develops solutions for real-world programmes.

You’ll work on key projects for National Critical Infrastructure, providing the network that keeps the nation safe and protected. Our hybrid working model means you are expected to be in the office 3 days per week. This role is based in our Birmingham office.
You'll have the following responsibilities:
1. Providing technical network knowledge to design, test, platform, and operational teams.
2. Have a working knowledge of the 21C network.
3. Develop effective working relationships with internal stakeholders to explore opportunities for partnership.
4. Use technical knowledge to support design, configuration, testing, and delivery. Propose improvements to processes and implementations on team equipment and networks.
5. Represent BT to vendors and drive solutions to technical problems.
6. Ensure the technical integrity of assigned project deliverables, including analysis and decomposition of requirements, designs, development of new methodologies, reporting, and volume tracking.
7. Contribute to the implementation of key strategies and transformation activities in the team.
8. Adhere to all team processes, such as Jira updates, timesheets, and team best practices.
9. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in projects and complete customer requests.
10. Execute the implementation of complex changes in line with change management best practices and associated governance.
11. Manage stakeholder and demand expectations through cross-area engagement.
12. Develop technical capability through continued learning and use of Tech Pathways, managing own development and upskilling proactively in line with unit strategy.
13. Ensure interactions with customers and colleagues are respectful and courteous, representing BT in a professional way.
14. Champion the use of automated tools, continually improving these tools and reducing the amount of fallouts and manual touch time, always seeking to improve and work in line with standardized processes and procedures.
15. Access, use, or disclose customer information only when necessary to perform operational duties.
16. Communicate confidently and professionally with all stakeholders, both locally and with members of the Senior Management Team.
17. Have extensive experience of network technologies and protocols within your native domain.
18. Be aware of the E2E service journey.
19. Adapt to emerging and evolving technologies in line with Tech Pathways role mapping.
20. Provide E2E management, delivery, and cessation of Cable-link products, including associated tasks.

Experience:
1. Experience of network technologies and protocols.

5. Proficient in adapting to multiple workstreams.
6. Experience in Network Integration/engineering (preferred).
7. Quality and delivery management (preferred).
