We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and passionate Veterinary Care Assistant to join our growing team at Thurrock Vets for Pets!
Our practice is bright, spacious, air-conditioned and purpose built to industry leading standards and has state of the art equipment including digital X-ray and in-house laboratory facilities.
You'll be working alongside a fantastic team made up of 4 vets including a head vet, 3 RVN, 3 SVN, 1 VCA, 5 CCAs, a Reception Manager, a Practice Manager and Business Manager Dipty.
We're looking for a team player who is willing to get stuck in, work hard, and is keen to learn. Previous experience in the veterinary sector is essential, and we’ll provide support to get you going, so you'll quickly become an integral member of the team.
Your tasks will include keeping the clinic clean, tidy, and organised; feeding and monitoring in-patients; running clinical tests; managing stock; handling a variety of small animals; helping set up for operations; deep cleaning all areas; speaking to clients on the phone and in person. Good verbal communication skills and basic computer literacy are essential.
This is a part-time role working 2 days per week and will include 1 in 4 weekends (9am-6pm Saturday and 10.30am-4.30pm Sunday).
