Teaching Assistant (SEN School)
Location: Oldham
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
Salary: £16.11 PH
About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Oldham. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students with a range of learning needs, helping to create a positive and inclusive environment that fosters growth and achievement. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with children and making a meaningful impact on their educational journey.
Key Responsibilities:
Support students with SEN in a classroom setting, providing tailored assistance to ensure their individual learning needs are met.
Work closely with teachers to implement lesson plans and adapt learning materials to suit the needs of students.
Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with varying abilities.
Help students with personal care and daily routines as required.
Encourage positive behaviour and assist with classroom management.
Assist with the development of educational resources and activities that support student engagement and learning.
Observe and monitor students' progress, providing feedback to teachers and contributing to individual education plans (IEPs).
Build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents to support the overall wellbeing and development of each child.Requirements:
Previous experience working with children with special educational needs is desirable but not essential.
A genuine passion for supporting children with learning disabilities.
Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
