Title: Compliance Manager Passive and Active Fire Safety

London Weighted Salary: £54,000 - £62,500 plus essential car user allowance £1,300
National Salary: £46,880 - £54,660 plus essential car user allowance £1,300

We are looking for an experienced Compliance Manager for our Passive and Active Fire safety team within the Building Compliance department. This role reports to the Passive and Active Fire Safety Manager. The post holder will be responsible for a team of 2 indirectly and 3 directly, consisting of 5 in total.
As the Compliance Manager, you will ensure full compliance with legislation and L&Q policies relating to Passive and Active Fire Safety including the servicing and maintenance of all Fire Safety systems along with associated FRA actions. You will oversee your teams to ensure the systems within our properties are managed, serviced, and repaired in line with legal requirements and best practices.
You are required to have advanced knowledge and competence of all legal frameworks and statutory requirements, particularly with respect to Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022.
You must be able to lead and inspire a team to deliver the highest standards of compliance and quality to provide our residents with a safe, secure, and warm home.
You must be commercially astute with a robust knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and providing continually robust financial control.
You will work in partnership with the Trust's development teams, legal department, central health and safety team, and property services teams to ensure compliance and heighten awareness of all Active Assets. You will also be confident in managing relationships with external stakeholders such as statutory authorities, contractors, and consultants.

1. Relevant qualification or substantial relative experience and commitment to continued professional development
2. Good technical knowledge of all servicing, repair, and replacement of Fire Safety equipment
3. Practical application of best practice within a public-facing organisation
4. Knowledge and experience working within a varied housing stock portfolio or varied tenures
5. Understanding of contract law, contract management, and dispute resolution
6. Knowledge of building, engineering, and partnering forms of contracts
7. Ability to confidently manage a specialist team
8. Performance against agreed KPIs

We are a multi-site organisation, so some roles may require occasional travel between offices, but expenses will be covered. Attendance in London will be expected twice a week with frequent ad-hoc London-based site visits.
