As Registered Care Manager, your responsibilities will include: Taking a lead role in ensuring Statement of Purpose accurately reflects the ethos and stated aims of the home and is regularly reviewed and updated. Overseeing the day to day running of the Childrens Home and safety of young people utilising the services and sign off Staff Rota on the agreed cycle with the Deputy Manager. Leading a team of care workers, in conjunction with relevant legislation and guidance. Ensuring correct compliance with Regulations 2015 including those matters that require Ofsted notifications. Managing and coordinating the delivery of individual packages of support for the children and young people. Making sure that care plans meet identified needs of children, which are regularly reviewed and are outcome focused. Ensuring good outcomes are achieved for young people within the home to meet their physical, psychological, emotional and social development. Fulfilling all requirements under Childrens Homes Regulation 2015, and Quality Standards. Overseeing recruitment and retention of staff to ensure compliance with Childrens Homes Regulations 2015 and National Minimum Standards. Monitoring the implementation of Policies and Procedures and Guidance. Ensuring all staff are aware and adhering to these and take appropriate action to address any shortfalls including training, performance improvement plans and disciplinary procedures. Writing care plans, organisation around referrals and matching, staff management and training, liaising with social workers and family members of young people. Having the performance management system in place to audit comprehensively in line with Childrens Homes Regulations 2015, and Quality Standards, Regulation 44, Ofsted Inspections, Regulation 45 Reports etc. Ensuring financial budgets are proactively managed, service costs are within agreed levels, offer best value and meet authoritys and financial regulations. Were looking for a Registered Care Manager with: Previous experience working with children and young people in a residential setting. A proven track record of leadership and direct management experience of supervision, appraisals and staff development. A level 5 in Leadership and Management qualification.
