Position Purpose
A senior integrator is a key part of the integration leadership team, focused on project execution and day-to-day employee success. Senior integrators must be talented integrators, with deep experience working on a diverse selection of projects with all technologies, and with strong connections to other TAIT departments and disciplines. However, senior integrators must also be model employees, willing to supervise, train, and grow more junior individuals on the team. A senior integrator oversees multiple projects and multiple junior level integrators at once. While the role is not explicitly focused on long-term department strategy, the senior integrators will act as close advisors and champions to the broader integration management team.
Responsibilities
1. Build rapport with and earn the respect of individuals on all TAIT teams.
2. Demonstrate success as a lead integrator on the largest projects with the highest politics.
3. Share knowledge readily by mentoring and fostering the growth of newer integrators.
4. Drive lessons learned and champion department continuous improvement.
5. Manage up to leadership team, advising on team strategy and process improvements.
6. Champion company and departmental initiatives enthusiastically.
7. Assist in recruiting and hiring process.
8. Maintain wide knowledge of the entertainment industry, technologies, and project delivery requirements.
9. Understand intimately the array of functions and roles at TAIT.
10. Show consistently high emotional intelligence and strong interpersonal skills.
11. Stay on top of technical skills, maintaining competencies and technical leadership in the department.
12. Build relationships across departments and the organization.
13. Champion the highest quality and safety standards, holding others accountable to them.
14. Allow flexibility in working hours to support the team.
15. Execute job duties independently and with “extreme ownership.”
Position Requirements
1. Demonstrated leadership.
2. Significant experience within an integration or similar role.
3. Willingness to travel on average 100 days per year.
4. Experience working in the entertainment technician industry.
5. Knowledge and understanding of entertainment/construction technology and equipment.
6. Working knowledge of mechanical terminations and fixtures.
7. Entertainment rigging and components.
8. The ability to work from a custom set of drawings to create bespoke products.
9. Ability to repair and replace complex mechanical assemblies.
10. Formal Technical Background.
11. Theatre/Entertainment Experience.
