Job summary The Gynaecology and Breast team at UCLH is seeking an experienced surgical nurse to join the enhanced recovery after surgery team. The Enhanced Recovery Clinical Nurse Specialist post is a 1-year secondment (maternity leave cover), full-time band 7. All flexible working requests are considered. Enhanced recovery is an evidence based clinical service to improve patient experience, clinical effectiveness, and clinical outcome. The Enhanced Recovery team provide care and treatment for elective surgical patients in preoperative, day case, in patient and post discharge settings. We are looking for a confident, autonomous practitioner who enjoys working as part of a large multi-disciplinary team. With experience in quality improvement and service development. Elective surgery experience and IT skills are essential for the role; you will be delivering and evaluating; preoperative patient education groups, inpatient post operative patient care and staff education, and post discharge telephone follow up clinics and patient advice line.
