Leading Change Global Safeguarding Lead Location : Brentford, London (hybrid), or one of TLMs global offices (with right-to-work eligibility) Type : Full-time, permanent Travel : 3050 days/year Reports to : Head of People and Safeguarding Sector : International Christian NGO About the Role This is a pivotal global leadership role where safeguarding is more than policyits protection, empowerment, and advocacy in action. As Global Safeguarding Lead, youll drive TLMs safeguarding strategy, supporting member countries and partners across continents. From guiding investigations to building capacity, you will ensure TLM's safeguarding systems are effective, inclusive, and compassionate. You'll provide critical technical support and influence how safeguarding is understood, implemented, and lived out across TLMs Global Fellowship. What Youll Be Doing - Leading safeguarding strategy and implementation globally across the TLM's Global Fellowship - Designing and updating safeguarding policies and resources in line with global standards - Coaching and supporting safeguarding leads in member countries - Overseeing complex safeguarding cases and investigations - Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks - Embedding a culture of safeguarding, learning, and accountability - Acting as Deputy Global Designated Safeguarding Officer - Engaging across cultures, faiths, and time zones with wisdom and grace Is This You? Youll Need: - A relevant degree or equivalent experience in safeguarding, global health, education, or related fields - Professional safeguarding qualifications - Extensive international experience in safeguarding roles - Deep knowledge of safeguarding legislation, case management, and best practices - Experience working in or with INGOs, ideally in Asia or Africa - A proven record in developing and embedding safeguarding policies and delivering training - Strong investigation and risk management experience - Exceptional cross-cultural communication and stakeholder engagement skills - Ability to work independently and meet complex deadlines - Tech-savvy with collaboration tools (Zoom, Teams, etc.) - Willingness to travel internationally - A personal commitment to TLMs Christian ethos and the ability to work respectfully across faiths Why Join TLM?
