The Office Manager would like to recruit someone who is positive and enthusiastic to join their team of 15. You'll need to be a helpful and outgoing person who can get along with and support others. Once trained as an Insurance Claims Handler you'll be effectively managing the customer claims process in a way that provides excellent customer service and appropriate and compliant application of Insurance policies and procedures.

Job Details
Job Title: Insurance Claims Handler
Location: Ashford, Kent (Office based)
Salary: £22,000pa
Hours: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm
Benefits: 26 days annual leave + the opportunity to complete the CII qualifications
Hybrid: Yes, 12 days across the year to be arranged
Responsibilities
1. Learn all about the Insurance product and claims licences as appropriate.
2. Effectively manage the processing of claims.
3. Obtain sufficient information from customers to intimate claims and assess appropriate claims routes, ensuring appropriate records are kept of the assessment.
4. Manage claims from intimation to settlement including confirming cover, appointing suppliers and loss adjusters as required, keeping the customer informed and reaching satisfactory settlement.
5. Where outside delegated authority, intimate the claim and provide sufficient information to the Claims Team to proceed, appoint suppliers and loss adjusters as required and ensure the customer is kept informed and that the claim proceeds efficiently.
6. Ensure all records of the process are kept up to date, effectively utilising the relevant systems and databases currently in place.
7. Consistently provide excellent levels of customer service in all interactions with potential and existing customers, delivering on promises, meeting their needs and exceeding expectations.
8. Always demonstrate high values of trust and integrity, acting as a positive role model in line with the values and ethos of the Agency.
9. Build and maintain effective working relationships within the Agency team and all relevant key contacts and teams.
10. Ensure all duties are carried out in a way which complies with relevant external legislation and regulation, compliance and other procedures and local Agency policies and processes.
11. Deliver ad-hoc projects and/or other duties as required, to support the delivery of business strategy and enhance customer experience.
Requirements
You’ll be the perfect match for this client if you have:
1. Previous Customer Service experience within an office environment
2. Knowledge of the insurance industry and/or a desire to build a career within Insurance
3. Good IT skills especially Microsoft Office Outlook, Word & Excel
4. Good Maths and problem-solving skills
5. Great communication skills and an excellent telephone manner
6. The ability to build effective relationships through positive behaviours, honesty and integrity
7. Your own transport & full UK driving licence is required due to very occasionally needing to cover in another local office.
