Responsibilities for the job role: Ensure all vehicle and equipment maintenance is carried out at the appropriate time and to the standard required by third parties including DVSA, LOLER etc. This will be achieved by correct utilisation of labour Ensure handover information is conveyed effectively to the Workshop leadership team, in addition to all relevant stakeholders throughout the business. Take responsibility for the quality control of all work completed by the overnight team, ensuring a high standard of work is achieved Lead, motivate and engage the overnight team, enabling them to maximise their skill set. Ensure all work carried out is in accordance with company policies & procedures, to a high standard and in line with best practice. Assess and develop the overnight team, in line with the department’s training and capability matrix. Carry out 6 weekly inspections to a high standard, ensuring all defects are identified and repaired, with a strong focus on ‘first time fix’. Inspect and prepare vehicles for MOT, ensuring all vehicles exceed the standard required. Diagnose faults on vehicles and ancillary equipment. Carry out electrical repairs on a range of specialist commercial vehicles. Repair ‘damage’ defects to a high standard with a focus on upholding our brand image.
