Progression Press Tool Setter / Operator, West Bromwich, £13.00-14.10 per hour My client manufacturers metal pressings and assemblies for a wide range of customers. They are looking to expand their team and wish to recruit a proven and experienced progression press tool setter / operator. To ensure that all press setting is carried out in a safe manor and the operators are aware of the operating procedures and Quality standards required. To liaise with Engineering / Toolroom of any technical issues that arise. Responsibilities: - To ensure all machinery setting is carried out in accordance with ROSPA (equivalent certificates) Health and Safety Regulations. i.e. Guard cards / Oil cards. To carry out the setting of the machines using best practice techniques. To ensure all customer & company Q/C standards are maintained. To ensure that any operator that is placed on a new set is aware on how to carry out the job operation and understands the paperwork and gauging requirements. To carry out daily TPM checks are carried out on associated equipment. Responsible for the upkeep of the machines in your areas and reporting any issues to the Engineering Director or Maintenance as soon as they occur. Ensure that tooling and maintenance job cards are completed correctly and passed on to the correct area and to let production know of the issues. To carry out weekly checks on the levels of oils and grease and spill kits in the area are up to date and report to the production team to carry out replenishment. To ensure that any Health and Safety hazards are identified and reported and that you adhere strictly to the company's Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality Policies and procedures, and that all those in your department also do so. Communicating with persons inside and outside of the organization in the most efficient manor to ensure accurate provision of information. To be prepare If trained utilise Forklift Trucks or any other ancillary equipment as an aid in the setting procedure and the stacking of WIP and finished parts to the correct area. To undertake training on any new equipment that is brought into the area and pass the knowledge on to other team member Machine Scope: 80t to 400t Progression Presses (preferred experienced but happy to train the right candidate) coil fed. FLT Scope: 2t to 5t FLT (preferred experienced but happy to train the right candidate). Shift Hours: 6am > 2pm or 7.30am to 16.30pm or 2pm>10pm (flexible to fit with candidate) Training Hours: 7.30am to 16.30pm Monday to Thursday and 7.30am to12.30pm Friday (6 weeks minimum, dependent on experience) Rate: £13.00 to £14.10ph We are unable to accept or process applications from candidates based outside of the UK.
