About The Role:
As a Support Team Member in Dispatch, you’ll ensure the safe and timely dispatch of materials from the quayside, with a focus on accuracy and compliance. You’ll collaborate closely with clients, vendors, and internal teams to streamline dispatch operations, maintain precise records, and deliver high-quality customer service.
What You’ll Do:
* Oversee Cargo Operations : Track and manage cargo to ensure all materials are accurately documented and accounted for.
* Ensure Documentation Compliance : Verify all Dangerous Goods, SEPA, and Waste documentation to meet compliance requirements.
* Coordinate with Vendors and Clients : Facilitate efficient returns by liaising with vendors on delivery schedules, and with clients and internal teams to address queries or non-conformances.
* Maintain Accurate Records : Keep an auditable record of all activities, collate and scan shipping paperwork, and organize client folders.
* Dispatch via TMS System : Accurately dispatch cargo within the TMS system to support efficient operations.
* Customer Focus : Build and nurture strong relationships with customers and vendors, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
* Uphold Safety and Compliance Standards : Follow formal procedures, standing instructions, and safety protocols, working with delivery drivers to ensure proper documentation and adherence to safety standards.
What You’ll Bring:

* Regulatory and Safety Knowledge : Familiarity with waste regulations, Dangerous Goods (ADR/IMDG), and COSHH awareness.
* Technical Skills : Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, TMS, and understanding of transportation regulations for abnormal loads.
* Customer Service Focus : Excellent communication skills to represent the company positively and deliver top-notch customer service.

Qualifications:
* Required : Dangerous Goods Awareness (ADR/IMDG)
* Preferred : Experience in customer service or logistics, knowledge of relevant legislation, and prior operational experience.
