Functional Skills Tutor
Up to £30,000 per annum experience dependent
Birmingham.
You are an experienced vocational and functional skills tutor, able to deliver regulated and non-regulated qualifications/training to our ASF-funded learners and other provisions.
Your delivery schedule is driven by your learner’s location nationally; you will deliver courses using various digital media. You have excellent learner management skills to progress and support each learner.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver English, Maths and Digital Skills at Level 1.
* Deliver and assess accredited and non-accredited qualifications according to the delivery schedule.
* Create schemes of work and lesson plans in accordance with the qualification specifications.
* Be involved in Twin’s observation programme across all provisions.
* Liaise regularly with Advisors on learners’ readiness for progression into employment, and provide handover information to new or substitute trainers.
Skills & Experience:
* Assessing qualification, TAQA, A1, or equivalent - Essential
* PTTLS, DTTLS or equivalent – Desirable
* Level 2 Functional Skills in Mathematics and English or equivalent – Essential
* Experience in delivering functional skills – Essential
* Experience in delivering Employability/Vocational qualifications – Essential
* Experience in embedding British Values, PREVENT and safeguarding lessons - Essential
* Experience in delivering to post 16 – Essential
