The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance (ICMP) is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Campus Finance Support Officer to join our dedicated Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting our students and ensuring smooth financial operations across the institution.
About the Role
As Campus Finance Support Officer, you will be the first point of contact for students with finance-related queries. You'll work closely with the AR Manager, Head of Finance, and the wider finance team to ensure accurate student debt collection, timely responses to funding queries, and proactive management of student payment issues. Your work will directly impact the student experience and financial health of the institution.
Key Responsibilities
* Respond promptly and professionally to student queries in the finance inbox, especially during peak enrolment periods.
* Actively manage and chase outstanding student debts, providing regular reporting to the finance team.
* Support students with Student Loan Company (SLC) applications and update the portal regarding changes in circumstances.
* Follow up on missed payment plans via email, phone, and in-person where appropriate.
* Investigate and resolve payment queries and disputes in line with ICMP policies and T&Cs.
* Maintain a strong understanding of government agency payment terms and funding structures.
* Ensure accurate records and escalate issues to senior staff where necessary.
* Support the campus team flexibly, especially during staff absences or workload peaks.

* Timely and accurate completion of finance-related tasks.
* High-quality customer service delivered to students and internal teams.
* Adherence to ICMP policies, procedures, and values.
* Positive feedback from colleagues on teamwork and flexibility.
* Effective debt collection and resolution of student finance issues.
Person Specification
Essential
* Proven credit control experience, ideally within a student-facing role.
* Articulate and culturally aware communicator with strong negotiation skills.
* High proficiency in Excel and general office software (Google/Microsoft).
* Experience improving and adhering to internal finance processes.
* Full right to work in the UK.
Desired
* Familiarity with the Student Loan Company (SLC) portal and UK funding agencies.
