Location: Nottingham Contract: Permanent Recruitment Partner: Frankie McCallister-Lyas About the role: Welcome to the Boots Social Media team – an exciting team at the heart of Boots UK’s growth plans. We’re focussing on ensuring that we have a best-in-class team to know our audience inside out, to keep our fingers on the pulse with social media trends and to continue to drive growth. As a Social Media Community Manager, you will manage and nurture our social media community, building relationships with our existing followers and find ways to reach out to new communities. You will work closely with the social media team to foster a positive and engaging community for Boots UK, as well as using Social Media Management Platforms to monitor and on our posts and community outreach. Key Responsibilities: • Actively engage with followers, fans and customers on social media platforms – responding to comments and messages in a timely and professional manner • Strategize new ways in which we can nurture our existing audience • Find disruptive and creative ways to reach out to a new audience • Monitor and track conversations online, including sentiment, through social listening tools • Stay on top of upcoming and existing trends and features, to ensure that we are participating where appropriate • Keep on top of online conversations and trends with competitors, other brands, and the individual channel communities • Track and report on organic social media performance metrics, including engagement, reach, clicks, conversions, and growth • Provide regular performance reports to stakeholders with actionable insights and recommendations • Analyse audience behaviour and content performance trends across platforms, with a particular focus on Instagram, TikTok and Facebook • Monitor industry trends, competitor performance, and emerging social media platform updates to identify opportunities for improvement and growth • Provide insights to the Social Media Manager to aid strategic planning and decision • Monitor and evaluate the success of all organic social media activity, from day to day posts to elongated campaigns • Conduct competitive analysis to identify gaps in the market and opportunities for differentiation, and evaluate where we sit in comparison to other brands • Utilise social media analytics tools (i.e. Sprinklr, Sprout Social and Google Analytics) to gather data and insights • Report on all web traffic through from organic social media, including Instagram Shopping data and Google Analytics traffic • Provide weekly and monthly reports to the wider team, including a weekly report to the Marketing Leadership Team • Understand what is needed for effectiveness on organic social media, and feed all learnings and suggestions to the Social Media Manager and other stakeholders What you’ll need to have: • Strong understanding of major social media platforms, their features, and their best practices • Exceptional written communication skills, with an eye for detail • Ability to interact and build relationship with online communities • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights • A passion for social media and the part it plays in the marketing channel mix • Understanding of social media platforms and their analytics capabilities • The ability to be fast-paced and agile with learnings and timely work Our benefits Boots Retirement Savings Plan Discretionary annual bonus Generous employee discounts Enhanced maternity/paternity/adoption leave pay and gift card for anyone expecting or adopting a child Flexible benefits scheme including holiday buying, discounted gym membership, life assurance, activity passes and more.
