The successful applicant will have experience with complex systems and previous exposure to safe working methods, and the ability to work on a diverse range of plants.
Additional training and development will be given as part of a formal training plan to ensure safe work systems are maintained at all times.
This role will also require participation in the department’s on-call system to ensure that our service is delivered to our Hospital’s 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This is currently a one in six arrangement allowing for annual leave and standard working.
Duties Include:
1. Highly complex fault finding and maintenance on all aspects of engineering plant and equipment throughout the Trust.
2. Carrying out duties within strict timescales and statutory guidelines.
3. Participation in the pre-planned on-call rota as part of an approved structure (following suitable training).
4. Planned and reactive maintenance tasks, requiring an excellent all-around working knowledge of basic engineering systems.
